Just got of the phone with my insurance company as the T4 is up for renewal and they were quoting just over £500. I thought I would phone them as Ive been getting other qoutes for £370(inc my SP50 but ill come to that) and would see if they would match the price.

They went through my details and it turns out I didnt notify them when I recieved a speeding ticket in Nov2004(last year I just let the policy automatically renew). They then tell me that I should have notified them(I know its my fault but I thought I had) and that even though the policy ends in three days I now have to back pay £161 pounds for the endorsement this year and the bill will be with me in a couple of days.

I cant believe they charge that much for a speeding ticket when other insurance companies dont load the premium for the first three points from speeding.

Dont know why im posting this on here and I know its my fault they werent notified but its put a real downer on my night tonight

I dont know if thats right but if it is the problem could be I just let it all renew last year and didnt talk to them or anything they just rebilled my card automatically. I didnt even think about the ticket as I thought i had already told them. If Id just moved policy this year instead of try to price match i wouldnt have to pay it.
