Adobe Flash problem

last night i was playing flash games all fine, today when i go to start playing them, nothing shows up. the part of the page where the flash game should be is just blank, theres not even a 'you dont not have a flash player installed, click here to get it' thing. I also tried saving the .swf file to my desktop and draging that directly into opera and IE and the url bar says that its loaded the .swf but the screen is still blank.

i went to adobe site and downloaded the latest flash and im not even sure it installed right. all that happens is i run the .exe, select US.English for the language, then a small progress bar pops up where it intsalls a couple files and its all over in less then a second, no confirmation of compleated install, nothing, once it gets to 100%(at least i think it was 100%, it moves to fast for me to see) the program just disapears.

Also if it matters at all, my pc was on all the time, so what happened between last night and this morning to cause this problem im not sure. Also im not sure if its important but my add/remove programs screen never shows flash there for some reason, it used to have macromedia flash listed a long time ago, but after i deleated that to install a new version of flash, flash has never been shown on that remove program list any more.

Have you just updated to IE7 ?
I had a similar problem after updating, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didnt have any luck. Eventually it installed itself when I went to You Tube.

yes i installed IE7 a few weeks ago.

i tried what you said and went to youtube, clicked on a random movie in the hopes of it doing something, but it just said 'you either have javascript disabled or do not have the latest version of flash', when i click get flash now, it takes me to the adobe download page that ive been to already.

i just tried downloading the special flash uninstall program from adobe and ran that, it says flash uninstall successfully, but when i run the installer it still just shows the progress bar rush to 100% then close, and still no flash programs work.

EDIT: just tried to go to the adobe page using Internet Explorer, it prompted for active x, i agreed, and i went trough a web based install of flash, i didnt have to download any files myself. IE can now use flash, but i cant use it with opera still, with opera the flash page still only allows me to download a installer which does nothing, i cant do a web based install like i did with IE
