"adobe" flashplayer install issues

whats the deal with the way they make you install the flash player now? ive just finished setting up my vista + XP dual boot system and i cant get the damn thing to install on the xp partition, i keep getting a "connection interrupted" dialouge.

anyone expeirenced similar?

i just use the standalone .exes from filehippo.

make sure your browser(s) are closed when you run them.
