Ads on android with sound

Going with his example, you can buy Word Feud for £1.99 or get a free version with ads, it's a simple choice on how you pay for the hours/days/weeks of work the developer has put in. Is there not a paid version of the app you downloaded? What is the app?
I have not problem with ads my problem is with ads that are design to be sh.it, to be obtrusive . You can still put ads just dont put videos with sounds that cover whole screen event when app is hidden. If you do that is a developer choice and we let them by not doing anything and justified their actions. If I dont use app and developer ads more adverts coz he cant make sell coz no one use it then the business model is broken. I dont care a bout him, if he cant make it profitable without bad ads he can change business for all I care.

If people can't make me stuff for free and not worry about getting paid, then screw them - that's about the size of your argument?

No. Lets say there 3 type of ads: 1. text you get 1£ 2. Couple second ad bottom screen you get 2£ and last 3. video cant be skip sound but you get 5£

Logicically you would use last ad to make the most money and justified it that without it you couldn't make that app. In my opinion if you have to used ad number 3 to make profit then dont bothered your business is broken. I have no problem with number 1 and 2 its 3 that I think is not acceptable and yet you guys just roll with it coz those poor developers have no option. They do have options they are just greedy.

Could we have that one again in English? Genuinely can't make out what you're saying now.

The "bloody system" is that you can either suffer the ads, pay for the app or find an alternative that uses less intrusive advertising. If you don't like the ads, leave a review or contact the developer. I'm not sure what else you think we should all be doing (partly because your posts are so hard to understand).

That was hypothetical if you did have 3 option to chose from ...
I can't understand what you typed, it doesn't make any sense.

Regardless, you're in a position of choice. If you don't like it, don't use it.

They can choose to fund their development however they like - if you don't like it, you simply get an alternative from someone who has developed an app that is funded in a manner you like.

Ad revenue is getting less and less and so people with relatively small income streams will be getting squeezed more and more, both from additional competition and lower end revenue - you can hardly blame them for seeking out an advertising platform that will pay them 0.1p per view rather than 0.001p, which you have to bear in mind are far more likely figures to be dealing with than your £5 per ad.

After all of that, I'm yet to encounter a decent app that has intrusive ads that you can't simply pay for instead.

English is not my first language and with severe dyslexia I have is a miracle I can communicate. Back to my point I sick of what happen to app store that horrible ads became a norm nd I'm the only one that see that as a problem not a solution.

I used to play Word Feud a lot with the free version. Didn't mind the ads. But then they released an update which have you full screen video add with sound - even when your phone was on silent. Did my nut. Haven't played since. Devs need to be aware of their audience, ads like that will only drive people away.

That's exactly my issue too. Adverts used to be a banner ad at the top or bottom of the screen. Now you have to play pre-roll video ads which are unavoidable for the first 10 seconds (the "x" doesn't appear until after 10 secs). This happens after every round of whatever game you're playing, so I keep having to look for another game that doesn't do this

Thankfully, the Disney games (Frozen Freefall etc) are free and ad-less... just in-app purchases if you need extra power-ups. Their games were well made too.

Other games that I play that are fairly unobtrusive:

2048
Bejeweled / Blitz
Cherry Chaser
Chess
Flood-it!
Hearts Free
Inside Out
Solitaire

I think the Angry Birds games are ok too, although haven't played them for a while, so I can't confirm as of now.
