well folks ive been with vispa now since december and they have so far been nothing but trouble for me.they have all the titanadsl customers and some other failed isp on thier network which gave 200ms ping up until 24th dec when they done some network upgrades.everything was great up until a week or so ago.

but this last few days its been getting worse.firstly disconnects from games and ventrilo, maybe one every 3 hrs up until 2-3am, the router uptime shows 28 hrs so its not been reset so why have i been dc from vent?also one minute i can steam iplayer hd then the next iplayer is buffering and diagnostics showing 2mb streaming speed :(

normally i get throughput of 6999kbps or 7mb, speedtests are normally fine when this happens but tonight they are at 4mb.pings also jump by anything up to 5-10ms.

www.pingtest.net i normally have 35ms and 1ms jitter, recently its 45ms and 5ms jitter and vispa deny any issues and say thier new network is fine.my exchange is green on the congestion status and my router stats are fine and unchanged.

4db attenation and 16db margin on a dg834v2 so if it was faulty surely they would show some kind of change in stats?

im at my wits end,isp exchange router, bt box? bad weather? snow?rain?the list goes on so if anyones had any experiences or advice it would be appreciated.i think though i may just get my mac code and try xilo :(

This is normal life with Vispa, I was with them for 2-3 years and I had constant problems of this nature for the last 6 months, even had James Ormond one of their Directors on my MSN as he tried to help. Their support guys helped all the time but the fact is they simply were not able to solve the issues, which they STILL have from reading your post and various forums. I was forever swapping between nodes (HG1 and HG2), getting terrible PING's and slowdown all the time. I was told it was my exchange, the lines, the weather, BT and various other things but I knew this wasn't case as I was able to test on a couple of neighbours networks, with other providers. I changed to Zen and for me it has been perfect. ALL my problems are history, I NEVER get slowdown (I often work from home) and have super solid PING's. I don't touch the router, never need to reboot, never loose a line and see around 6.9meg speeds on a ADSL Max line around 1K from the exchange AT ALL TIMES. I live in the middle of nowhere and have a titchy little exchange with 359 domestic and 59 business premises and Zen have been, for over 2 years since I moved, perfect. Vispa were good at one point, I had no problems with them and their support guys were excellent early days but sadly they fell down hill quickly and I got tired of the constant mucking around, slowdown and general 'not us gov' responses that became more and more common. For me the fact was it was them.

Hi there...
I am also thinking of XILO. Have you tried it yet and what's the feedback so far?
