i need to find "Advanced boot options" before windows loads and im lead to believe tapping F8 during startup will take me there. however, doing this takes me to a boot sequence page instead, and i cant do anything else here other than select which device i wish to boot from.

i need to "Disable Driver Signature Enforcment" so i can install driver to allow me to use my PS3 controller on the pc.

ive an Asus Sabertooth motherboard if any1 can help guid me to the page im looking for :D

Ahh. This is quite common. Your actually pressing F8 a little too early. This is why your getting the one time boot menu. If you like, you can bring up that one time boot menu, select the hard drive windows is on and immediately after, tap F8.

Option 2: Go into "msconfig" and configure the PC to boot into safe mode on restart. No need to tap anything, just restart and it will take you straight into it.

Option 3: Hold down the power button when on the desktop for 10 seconds. PC will cut out and when you turn it back on, you will be presented with the, "windows did not shut down correctly" message. Then just select safe mode from the list.

Hope that helped.

thanks Cleeecooo! i actually think im in a real casino now when playing solitare :P

ive found what you actually do to access the ABO, well for an Asus Sabertooth with Win7 that is.

keep tapping "F5" during startup and it will take you to a screen showing your operating systems (if you have more than 1). highlight Windows 7 and then press "F8" to access the advanced settings.

hope this helps sum1 in the future, goodluck :D

You could still have just pressed F8. There only is one OS, so the system was never going to boot anywhere else.

Some people eh

Haha... glad you got it sorted :)

F8 alone didnt work. it took me to a screen which only allowed me to select a device to boot from. it never gave me the advanced options i was looking for.

Without sounding like I'm losing the plot... Did you even read my response  I explained it all to you.... anyway, who cares... you got it all sorted and I'm glad it's working for you.

Happy Ps3ing :D
