Advanced Format & WD Align Question

I have a WD20EARS 2 TB drive, which uses the Advanced Format technology. I can't remember if I created it from within XP or 7 so I downloaded the WD Align program to check. The program recognises the drive as "a Western Digital Advanced Format disk" but everything is greyed out and nothing has the "non-optimally aligned partition" icon, which indicates that everything is fine.

However, using a VBScript file to find out the offset of each of my drives shows that it has an offset of 17 KB. I thought it was meant to be divisible by 8 KB? Also, the Intel Rapid Storage Technology application says it has physical and logical sectors of 512 B rather than 4 KB. :s

Anyone know what's going on here?

Bump!

Another thing: this drive is formatted as GPT, could that be the problem? Maybe WD Align doesn't support GPT partitions or something?
