Hi all, just trying to find out some information on these really.
I'm currently studying BTEC Software development, about 2 months from finishing it. I've really gone off the idea of Uni now, just don't think i can stomach another 3-4 years of education. This BTEC course has completely destroyed my confidence in this countries educational system, it is the most boring and horrifically taught pile of **** i've ever known. But thats another thread.
Anyway, i'm very much looking at getting into industry through a techincal/advanced modern apprenticeship. With some quick google'ing i couldn't actually gather that much, and was wondering here if anyone knew of companies/websites that were doing such schemes.
Couple i know of are!!
Volvo Advanced Modern Apprenticeship Program
Looks quality, and the sort of thing i'd be interested in, any other manufacturers known to do this?
Another is the Nationwide Technical ICT apprenticeship. I know about this from doing my work experience there, it looks like a very good scheme and I've just sent off an application form for it.
In terms of industry choice, I'm very much so interested in computing, the techincal aspect not writing documents or that gumf. Also motor engineering, great interest cars still. Plus any interesting ones to do with electronics really.
So, anyone happen to know any information about them. I know this is exactly the sort of thing i should be asking my tutor/college about, but they don't seem to give a flying ****.
Thanks for any help team!!
Yeah i know i've just posted this in GD, but i figure i'll get a better response for the motor engineering side of it in here!
