Say for the sake of the argument, that there is a 100% certainty that there is intelligent life out there (imo logic dictates it to be true anyways given the amount of time the universe has been around).

Now this intelligent life will either be technologically behind us or ahead of us.

Now surely the most advanced of those alien species would have technology which was so advanced that they are probably using energy harnessed straight from the vaccum creating enormous power. Also, (and I wish there was a better word) that could in theory have technology so advanced as to 'manipulate' other beings, maybe through electronic signals fired into the brain or whatever.

And yes, it is so easy to dismiss UFO sightings as nutjobs on the loose again but when countless numbers of people claim they have seen them, then it becomes harder to dismiss. Also, it can hardly be a coincidence that certain military bases around the world are guarded at such a high level.

IMO it does seem likely that we have been visited and people at the top do know a lot more than they choose to give out. Reasons, who knows, but I can hazard a guess. We have massive capabilities, I mean, just check out the water powered car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFIlXaABU54

Coincidentally, the guy who invented it died. Apparently the day after signing a deal to the government.

Anyways, these are just a few thoughts from a 'nutjob' so thought I would share them.

Agree

Rest of it though..okaay :p

Energy harnessed from a vacuum? Wut?

How can you harness energy from something that is completely devoid of matter?

I'm out.

Yep you are a nut job.
What to discuss. No we aren't being visited.
Sightings can be explained. In the uk files what was 75% are miss identification, 10% something else explainable and 5% that are curiouser and need better reserch. There's also natural phanomenia and top secret projects.

As for murdered, no he wasn't, there was no deal. Just read wiki for a start.

I have no doubt that intelligent life exists elsewhere but to find us would be like trying to find a needle in a stack of haystacks. We have only been transmitting radio for about a century so we have a radius of 100 light years max in which we would be detectable.

The odds are so stacked against visitations by aliens that I don't believe we have been contacted.

So you're proposing that, as an example, this alien species would have the know-how and man power to artificially create a miniature black hole that can be manipulated to only consume one half of an electron pair, thereby forcing the second of the pair to remain into existence rather than dissipate as per a vacuum requires? And then harness this energy which we, as humans, are still undecided whether it is miniscule (nano-joules) or incredibly large (mega-joules)?

I'm out.

My opinion on religion is that 'Gods' (multiple) are life-forms that are ahead of us in terms of technology.

Miracles? Take an iPhone out of your pocket 100 years ago and you'd be burned alive.

Check out the laws of thermodynamics instead!

Max Planck said:
It is in no way possible, either by mechanical, thermal, chemical, or other devices, to obtain perpetual motion, i.e. it is impossible to construct an engine which will work in a cycle and produce continuous work, or kinetic energy, from nothing."

There's no way to get more energy out from burning the hydrogen than you have to put in to split the hydrogen and oxygen in the first place.

Agreed I am.

How do you know?

What about the 5%?

Do you believe everything you read on wiki?

There's no evidence, not one little scrap, nothing.

5% further reserch, be it natural, classified aircraft etc

No I don't belive everything I read on wiki, but your claims on the water guy are so silly, wiki is all that is needed.

Good thinking. I don't think I know of a person that has never believed there is a monster in the cupboard. It would be foolish to dismiss such collaborated evidence and I think this cupboard is a major potential threat to the nation's safety. Who shall we call?

When the atom was first discovered, do you think they believed you could split it and create enormous energy from it?

Thought you were out last post? :p
