Advent 5612

Hi, I have Advent 5612 Laptop which after pressing the power on decides to go to windows error recovery - Windows failed to start doe to recent hardware or software change.

I choose start windows normal or safe mode then it just switched of either selection wont boot. I recently installed vista so I know its clean and all drivers had been up to date etc.

It must be hardware but what would I start with first? Thanks

Memory and hard drive test, seatools for dos, and windows memory test should be fine.

getthis in work 1st try a reimage as sometimes works sometimes doesn't, or failing that hardware
