The wifes been bugging me to research an external hard drive so that she can backup all her work, so being a man i though i'd take the easy way out and ask for someone else's advice. Whats she's after is something she can just plug in and it backs up any document.

I've been looking at these two option and hoping that i could get you opinions on either one

Seagate http://http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-114-SE&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=170

Maxtor http://http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-144-MD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=170

Many thanks

Sean

Personally I'd go for one of the WD Passport drives. I don't see the point in paying the extra for all the daft Seagate software and I don't like Maxtor.

Cheers for the reply. Reading the reviews it does sound good. Having never used the windows back up software is it any good as one of the reviews indicates that the WD one is not?.
