Underboss
pico 4 is a good headset up to a point
it all depends what games etc you want to play and if you want the quality over quantity etc
for example,
Do you want a completely wireless experience ? or not bothered ?
Do you want camera on the headset or do you want them around the corners of your room ?
@Ravenger has tried most headsets (Index, Quest, quest 2, pro and others?) i have had a Quest 1, Quest 2, pico 4 and now a Quest 3
for me personally, i will never go back to the pico 4 as good as it is, the software (or lack of) is not really good enough and the updates dont come as fast as Meta's ones I feel is lagging behind, but the picture quality over the quest 2 is much better, but not as good as the quest 3
Headsets like the old Valve index use base stations around your room and your tethered to your PC
My personal opinion, being as your trying VR for the first time, i suggest getting a Quest 2, but if your 100% NO on meta, then i suggest the Pico 4
