Advice for new build around £1600

So the H100X suggested by Josh.B would be sufficient for this setup without the need for the Artic fans? Comfortable in the Evolv X ?

Yup, it'll be fine with the stock fans. Mine was.
I currently use have the Thermaltake 240mm AIO with the TT RIING fans and no temp complaints. My 4790k is overclocked to 4.7ghz and doesn't breach 65c with the fans being controlled by the pump temps.

If you are looking for air coolers, Noctua have fantastic coolers, unfortunately there colour scheme is less than desirable, here is one for example https://www.overclockers.co.uk/noctua-nh-u12a-high-performance-cpu-cooler-120mm-hs-03k-nc.html

If you want something a bit more traditionally coloured, https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-cpu-cooler-hs-01d-bq.html

AIO Water coolers are ahead in most temperature benchmarks i have seen recently, however they tend to be a bit louder under load when compared to similar priced air coolers.

Thank you both for your advice, appreciated. I am not overly bothered by looks but if AIO water coolers perform better then i think that is the direction I will go.

Hi Washo,

Everything looks good to me, the motherboard only has 1 m.2 slot i believe and your build would easily run games at 1440p as well if you want to upgrade your monitors in the future, however your current 1080p ones are more than fine.

For gaming 16gb of memory is fine and should be more than enough for lightroom as well.

Unfortunately the cooler you currently has does not support AM4 so a new cooler would be required.

If i missed anything or you have anymore questions just let me know.

I'm pretty sure it has 2x m.2 slots, the Tomahawk max only has one.
