Advice for noob

Hi Stulid, i would rather pay a little more for the video card as the one i choose comes with a 3 year warranty, ive changed my list though psu wise to include the superflower one, cheers for that.

Looks solid choices then.

Check the length of the GFX card and that it fits in the case and doesn't hit any drive cages.

Started off with a simple upgrade lol, now ive gone mad, ok know looking at a 280x, cooler master calculator comes out at 485w, so im guessing im still ok with the 550w superflower psu.

it may not be the fastest or most powerful pc but its a big jump for me. better stay clear before someone talks me into getting a r9 290 lol.

Cheers all, i will come back and let you know how i find it.

What do you take us for? We wouldn't recommend anything other than quad Titan Blacks. :D

Off topic, but slam an SSD in your sons pc, with a q6600 that will be a pretty decent pc still for productivity and light gaming perhaps.

Hi all, got pc up and running, ended up getting a 256gb ssd, very happy with performance, its the heat from the cpu and motherboard thats got me thinking, i bought a akasa ak-876 cooler but when playing bf4, cpu goes above 60, fitted stock fan and it seems cooler, so can someone recommend a good fan, clearly skimping on the fan wasn't my best idea.
