Advice for Overclocking Intel 950 D

I want to overclock my Intel 950 D Dual Core 3.4(Presler core) to the highest values possible but I need some advice from you guys to set the right frequency's, vcore and all the settings required to keep the cpu enough stable.

Mobo: Asus P5N32SLI Deluxe
Cooling: Silverstone Nitrogon

its a while since i OC'd preslers, but i know your already at a dis-advantage with that motherboard.

intel Nvidia based boards are known to be pretty bad at overclocking.
also what PSU and RAM do you have ?

Why is an intel/nvida based mobo in a disadvantage which mobo chipsets are good then for overclocking then?

the best results came form the 975X boards.

i managed to get a stable 4.4 Ghz out of mine.

Well I'm not gearing to 4.4 ghz but i would like some experienced advice from you to get this chip run faster just recommend me the right settings (fsb/vcore etc) and i'll try it up.

Isn't the 975X Express Chipset Intel ?

Sorry yea, i should have clarified.
i meant intel versions of nvidia chipsets ( aposed to AMD)
an intel motherboard for an intel chip, with out an intel chipset.

Nforce 4 clocks superb for AMD based systems but not for intel

I have the same processor, all I did was up the FSB a bit at a time till Orthos didn't run properly and then jacked up the voltage till it was stable. I have it sitting at 4GHz stable. When I get home tonight I will check the FSB and Voltage settings and post them. System is in my sig.

My settings are FSB at 236, Voltage is at 1.35 with a 17 multiplier. The max temp that you should allow your CPU to get to is around 63C any higher than that and you could shorten the chips life.
