Bit of a hectic night out, basically there is blood and vomit on the front seats.

What would work best to remove the stains? Which tools and what technique would be most effective?

TIA (Gonna get some much needed kip now)

Don't use washing up liquid as this will bleach the seats, most effective would be a steam clean. Worked on my car when the dog was sick!

Best thing would be to hand over £30-40 for a professional cleaner! They will do a much better job at cleaning it out although your car may always smell of sick, especially on hot days! :)

A girl was sick in the back of my mate's Talbot Solara and it was never the same again. It always used to stink, and the strawberry air freshener/smell remover he put on it made it even more sickly.

Oh actually, he's on this board - dandle. :D

Definitely try a professional steam clean.

Buy new seats and carpet. Safest and only way to eliminate the return of the sick smell.

Awake now :p looks like I might be snowed in, ridiculous amount of snow and it's still falling steadily.

So no specialist products people have used then, anything that gets used on carpets etc...?

Luckily I'm changing cars soon anyway, however my brother is likely to buy it off me. And somehow I don't think he'll be too pleased if there's vomit and blood stains/aroma.

As for the story behind it. Very brief story; we're searching for a lost friend for over an hour, I eventually find him passed out on a bench in sub zero temperatures no where near our xmas party, bundle him into car (which was like moving a sack of spuds). He promptly keels over and throws up onto drivers seat, phone his dad. Waiting around for a while for his dad to turn up, turns out we can't get him out of my car. So then have to follow friends dad for 30-40 mins to his house, upon arrival turns out friend his coughing up a lot of blood now (friend has been unresponsive for last 2 hours too). Cue me now driving friend and his dad to accident & emergency, turns out if I hadn't found him when I did he could well have died. Stick around for a while, before navigating myself back home from a town I don't know. Ohh and to top it off, I get stopped by police and got breathalysed - I must have been a right picture, vomit on trouser, blood on shirt and decorated in tinsel.

And that was the short version^ :p

Nasty! Best advice would be to get your mate to pay for the cleaning bill... If he's allright.

I think he's alright now. So far cleaning it myself has gone ok, cleaned the vomit pretty good using dettol wipes and some graft.

Using some vanish remover stuff on carpets, seems to be ok so far. Any ideas on blood anyone, done most of it but want to make sure of a good finish.
