Hey guys,

So it seems my PC gaming days have come to an end as I'm always playing my Xbox One X instead, I gave my old PC to my Dad who's currently having the time of his life on it..

However I'd still like to occasionally play Age of Empire, Starcraft, Hearthstone and an old game called Legend of Mir.

I'm looking for a laptop or a tablet (mainly a laptop) that can fill the void and run the above smoothly. I'm somewhat new to the laptop world and I am unsure on what would be good value to specs spendature.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

For what you're looking for, yes. If you were looking for heavily CPU dependent games, and wanted 144 Hz, then no, but for 1080P at medium/high settings, a 1050 would be okay, and a 1050 Ti ideal (just for a bit of longevity).

If you can, try and find something with a quad core i5 (45W H series processor rather than the 15W U series). It'll help a little with some extra horse power. I believe it's a 6300HQ (Skylake) or 7300HQ (Kaby Lake)
