Hi all,

Need ideas on what to do to fix these problems were having at work.
We have 60 Servers at work with the below config.

Problem were getting is 4 Servers of the 60 are freezing/locking up.
Mouse doesnt move Keyboards doesnt work (num light is on)
Time is frozen also. No Memorydumps even though there ON.

I fixed these 4 Servers before and they were running for 2 weeks no problem.(they previously crashed in 2 days)
I fixed them by Doing a Clean install of 286.28 Nvidia drivers.

We recently had a powercut & now there doing it again :( The fix no longer works. i have one running Memtest86 one running Disk Error Check & 1 of the four appears to be running ok.

Spec of all Servers:
i5 2600k
ASUS (i can get model number if required)
Cosair 4GB Ram 1066mhz
1TB HDD Samsung F3
460GTX
2 x AV Cards
500W Silverstone PSU (from what i remember might be higher)
Windows 7 32Bit (yes i know, 64bit soon)

Have you checked the event viewer? If you've had a powercut I'd want to check the integrity of the disks (and look into buying a UPS)

What are these servers doing out of curiosity? Because they don't look server spec.

Event Viewer - Says nothing worth while.

Disk - Doing that already.
UPS - No need not required up 80% of the time.

Each Server run's 16 Live Videos with Audio & displayed the PC Which can also be accesed via IP.

This why we have a 460GTS(wrong in orignal post) to run the videos & Do some video anaysis using CPU/CUDA

A UPS does more than merely allow uptime (or rather safe shutdown) in event of a power failure, it provides clean electricity and helps guards against spikes, something I want on my home PCs, let alone servers.

They aren't really what I would call servers in a work / corporate environment. They are custom built machines with no support right? Consequently when things like this happen it could be a lot of different things. UPS as mentioned is a good idea for the future but for now.... what is different about these 4 compared to the other 56 then? Different location? Slightly different hardware? Running hotter? Different software? Different BIOS? Has to be something that is different surely?
