I am in the process of placing an order with Overclockers & in my basket are the following components: -

1 x 2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2 Dominator,DDR2 PC2-6400,240 Pins, NonECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP

2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (Raid 0)

1 x Samsung SH-183LBEBN 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer

What do you think?

Is there anything you would change as I was contemplating buying the OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz Passive/WaterCooled Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2FX800C42GK) memory instead of the Corsair & 1 of the Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD hard drive instead of the Barracuda's.

Also, if I do buy the Barracuda's does anyone know if the noise issue on these has been resolved & if not am I taking a gamble buying them online in case I may get the noisy ones.

Thanks.

Hi, I have the Dominator ram in my latest build and think its very good. The Seagate's are very quiet compared to the Western Digital drives in my other computer, though that could be thanks to the addition of case insulation! I would recommend all of the parts you have suggested.

I only recieved it today and so far it is awesome, for around £100 you cant go wrong, it still has the 1066fsb and 4mb l2cache, i clocked mine really easily today and im only on the stock cooler, and it rips through the 1m superpi in 16 seconds

You must have a pretty good chip, to clock it at 3.15GHZ with the stock cooler.Depends on the temps i guess. What sort of temps are you getting, and do you have any screenies?
