I'm currently in the middle of a new build which will be used mainly for photoshop. ( i very rarely play any games) and i'm also digitising a lot of family photo's.
from my old pc i have 1 x 80 gb HD and 2 X 250 gb HD. To these i have added a crucial m4 128gb SSD. (couldn't resist at the price).(and also a 250 gb external usb drive)
My original thinking was to install OS and programs on SSD, then set up the two 250 gb HD's in RAID 1 for storage.
After reading too many forums a bit of indecision has set in!
I'm wondering now whether to install OS on SSD, programs on the 80gb HD and use the 250gb HD'S for storage or whether to partition the ssd and use it as a cache drive.
or
go with my original thinking and image the SSd to the 80gb drive as back up.
Rest of new Build is
Intel i5 3570K
Asus P8z77-V
8gb kingston hyperx genesis grey 1600
Antec Kuhler 920
Any advice would be much appreciated
cheers
