I'm struggling with what you're asking?
You currently have a 109ppi screen that the text is too small, do why are you still looking at 110ppi screens?
Ignore the viewing distance, as unless you are changing that radically it makes much less difference than going up a bigger screen size.
Going to a higher resolution is always going to make text smaller unless you equally go up a couple of monitor sizes or use scaling
Anything that has a smaller ppi than you currently have
Nope higher ppi = higher resolution = smaller text
Nope. If you want bigger native font, you need
1) Bigger screen
2) Lower resolution
3) Use windows scaling 125% 150% etc
For PQ it's probably best to keep it to ~110P and just use Windows scaling.
If you are happy with your current resolution then moving to a 32" 1440P would be the obvious choice.
Personally I wouldn't get hung up on the choice of IPS Vs VA, these days they are largely much of a muchness.
Would be useful if you need split screen, app on either side of the panel
Still edge lit though, most LCD's are.
Do you own a OLED TV?
Oled's are dropping down so not far off "affordable prices"

Can't complaing £550 for such a big oled , once they start reaching £300 probably would be death of LCD's?
Sounds like a sensible choice
That 40 panel gets decent reviews
If its mostly Internet browsing
Word documents etc
The 40 ips probably the better choice
As oled does carry some burn in risk
With more static stuff
Though most manufacturers offer 3 year burn in warranty now
I've a 42" LG oled screen.. But for a desktop monitor it's simply too big.
I think for desktop.. 32" or 27" is the correct size.
If you have to move your head to see things then your screen is too big! Focus on a smaller but better quality screen for desktop use.
On a desk.. So probably 3 or four feet from eyes to screen depending if I'm leaning forwards or sitting backwards.
I'm actually in the market for a new monitor.. But I don't want curved or 'ultra-wide'.
Seems there is a gap in the market for 32" high quality flat screens.
might have to try a 32" from somewhere....32" at the same resolution will be fine imo
An online shop that offers a good return policy?

Dell s-series gamimg monitors are absolute spankers, I have the 27" version of that.
the 32" is quite expensive though.
