Advice needed on Sandisk SSD

First and foremost I ordered parts for a new build, and once I had completed the checkout I noticed my SSD was not the one I had selected, although it is similar specs:

SanDisk Extreme SSD 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive - (SDSSDX-120G-G25)

Is this a good drive, or should I contact OC to change it to my original choice which was the Plextor.

Also, as this is my first SSD drive, what special preparation and optimization tips can you provide for me when I install my new SSD and OS.
