Hi all, I'm getting back into PC gaming and been looking at the "Breach" overclockers bundle, i've got experience building machines and wondering if there is much of a saving etc? and will it have less warranty if anything fails?

Need to be better spec / graphics than my xbox one, mainly playing COD, Forza/Assetto Corsa, Warthunder and VR later down the line and around 1k, if poss....

Many thanks.

You mean the Breach pre-built system, this one? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-breach-gaming-pc-for-cod-modern-warfare-fs-1dq-og.html

If prepared to build it yourself and buy all components, you can get better quality parts? Especially the PSU, faster RAM, bigger SSD, nicer case etc. Maybe squeeze better GPU in there too like 5700 XT.

Also save a chunk of change on the W10 OS license, as you can buy a key yourself for £5-10 on a popular auction website.

Cool thanks for that, never really considered the AMD GPU..... been quite set on the Nvidia RTX :)

Had a look and bundled this together, look good? any improvements / replacements advice?:cool::cool:

Sorry no I wasn't suggesting it that PC I linked lol - I was asking if that was the 'Breach' bundle system you was talking about? But I guess not

So are you looking at building the system yourself to clarify??

I'd invest in a B550 board personally to future proof better. And RAM I'd get a 3600MHz kit.

Did you mean to add both a 1TB NVMe and 1TB SSD? You could just get a single 2TB SSD (WD Blue) for less if you want 2TB storage. PSU is over priced, could get the Phanteks 550w for £30-40 less I believe.

2060S isn't great value for money tbh, the 5700 XT will perform better for £40 extra. Unless you really want Nvidia RTX just not great for the ££ it costs with 2060S.

Thanks, yes was looking at the Breach bundle but then thought it would be just better to build one myself and get a better spec, so looking at the best spec for around the £1k mark.... thought about getting the 1TB NVMe for O/S and main games and then the secondary 1TB drive for other lower spec games etc if that makes sense.... also got 3TB NAS box and Windows 2019 server / VMware (networking background). I'l compare the B450 and B550 also :)

Looking at getting this, looks good :) thanks all for you advise! £1,234.65 inc VAT, weird numbering / meant to be!

Is the CPU cooler really needed?

1 CP-3B9-AM AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six Core 4.2GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail £175.99 £175.99

1 GX-35S-MS MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming X 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card £399.95 £399.95

It's not necessary but I'd highly recommend it, the stock cooler is a bit noisy and not great on temps. The Arctic one is quieter and keeps temps down better.

I see you chose to opt for a 5700 XT instead :p

ah ok :)
Yeah done my research on both cards 5700 XT v 2060 super.... not really going to hammer the ray tracing stuff yet so going for more hardcore power on the 5700 XT, and support the underling... lol.
