At long last I seem to be very near to a new PC.
The specs I've established thus far are:
Athlon II X3 445 (£54.96)
MSI 880GM-E41 (£48.71)
4GB XMS3 1600MHz (£38.23)
Totalling £141.90.
I have a budget of roughly £250, and could stretch to £260 with ease.
My problem is that I am unsure of the graphics card I should be looking at.
I game at a res of 1440x900, and am doubtful I'll be upgrading any time soon, and if I do doubt I'll go above a 22".
Based around prices, I can either get a 'gimped' GTX460 (768mb model), a decent Gigabyte OC2 GTS450, or a decent HD5770.
I've ruled out the HD5770 as it performs the worst by a considerable margin (only reason was included initially was because of CrossFire being more popular than SLI, but I am doubtful I would ever go down that route).
So, its a toss up between a OC GTS450 or the 'gimped' GTX460.
Looking to play most of COD series, UT3, TF2, L4D, L4D2, Fallout: New Vegas (and Elder Scrolls 5 - coming Q4 2011
) on high-ish quality at a stable fps.
Help me out?
Thanks
