I'm looking at buying this drive to install on an ASUS Prime motherboard that already has heatsinks for an M.2 drive.
Question - do I remove the heatsink off this drive or install it in an open slot that isn't under the motherboard built in heatsink?
Does it make a difference in which slot you install these drives or any other M.2 drives?

That drive has a heatsink already so just install it as it is no need for mother board heatsink

I'll be honest I've got the Sabrent and I've benchmarked with it. It idles at 30C and the maximum temp I've seen with 10 minutes of constant benchmarks is 49C and that's WITHOUT a heatsink on it... if the case is decentl ventilated, I wouldn't bother mate unless it's for looks unless you;'re getting battered.
