I'm currently looking at moving into a new flat and have done a search on SamKnows and this is the result for the closest exchange.

As I understand it I can get BT or as Talktalk has LLU then I could use Talktalk.

I'm a bit confused as I thought Sky used BT equipment so does this mean I can only get slow speed (<8mbs) internet from sky as opposed to the >20mbs speed??

Further searchhing suggests ADSL24 has the best package for my needs. Up to 8mb as the exchange doesn't support ADSL+2, and they reckon I could get 7.5mb. Plus 30gig peak usage allowance and unlimited everywhere else for £20 ain't bad.

If I wanted the quickest internet is Bt the only option?

As Talktalk has LLU does that mean I can get above 8mb speeds using their LLU service? If so if there any other proivders with use Twalktalk LLU as I've always found them to be crap.

You could try TitanADSL as they can do a 100Gb package for around the £21 mark or their complete phone and broadband package for around £26 pm which i belive runs of the opal wholesale network which is talk talk. Mightbe worth a look into!

I'd go with talktalk too. Normally I'd recommend Sky but talktalk LLU would be far better than any BT based product, including sky's "connect" service.

Ah thats what I thought but didn't really want to go with talktalk as they have a fairly tight p2p policy which I use a lot so was hoping to go with someone else. Rather have 8meg speed without FUP, than 8meg+ with crappy FUP.

Does anyone know any providers which use talktalk LLU????

From my previous post TitanADSL uses the talk talk LLU wholesal network.

Thanks Sid, much appreciated.

Think its between LLU with Titan or standard ADSL with IDNet. AS i'm about 20 yards from the exchange I think the benefit of going for LLU will be worthwhile.

Oh and definitely won't be going with 18month contract with talk talk. 1month or 3 month with titan and idnet seems much for suited for me, even if its a bit more expensive.

We use Titan at our office first on their C&W 24Mbs LLU service now on their Fibre broadband and its been really good, send them an email and during office hours gets answered within 5mins out of office hours emails usually answered within 30mins and weekends every few hours.

LLU is always better over BT wholesale services.
1, SNR changes and interleaving can be changed within mins.
2, The better upload and download speeds.
