I did buy and build a pretty good gaming pc however this was 4 years ago. my job has changed and i now travel a lot

a few years ago a good gaming laptop couldn't really be had for a 1k is it possible now ? when I say good I'm talking recent games maxed out.

given my abscence from building and buying parts aswell as lack of experience with high end laptops I'm as good as a newbi

apologies for grammer i am using a phone

I personally hate craptops, especially for gaming..
If i was working away i would prob look to build a portable mini itx for gaming.
But laptops, u generally get what u pay for, make sure its got an SSD for starters then go from there

Buy 2nd hand if you wanna max games at the budget. I bought a 970m laptop for about £1,100 a few years ago and that does well at 1080p.
Things seem to have gone up since for a similar mid range gaming laptop.

or again go with a mini itx system, here's my build from a couple years ago, used to move it around every few weeks, but luckily had a monitor in each spot so literally plod the little box in my suitcase and off I go. Alternatively, if you want serious gaming dont expect to drop less than 1.2-1.5k on a craptop
