Advice on new Occulus purchase

I find that within a minute I completely forget about the resolution and just start playing the game. Would I like a better resolution headset? Sure, but, increased resolution hasn't really changed my enjoyment of PC games.

that's certainly true for games that make little reliance on text, however I find with racing games and flying games I keep trying to look at the gauges/speedo etc and can't and it annoys me

So I picked up a Rift and am loving it so far although it does seem very fussy about where you position the visor on your face otherwise the images are blurry.

I currently have the sensors on their stands on the AV cupboard in front of me. But want to mount them on the top corners of my 55" wall mounted TV.
Can anyone recommend some tidy solutions for doing this?

Many thanks

Not really, you don't want to start cracking them apart, they're quite delicate things...couple of little wall mounted shelves? you could have ornaments up there when not in use lol!

Any "security cam mounts" would do, can find plenty of those for not much money on the well known shopping sites. (The sensors come apart about 4cm from the top of the stem, with a tripod mount available right there).

They simply unscrew! Look at the stem of the stand, about 4cm from the sensor, it just twists off to reveal the tripod mount. To mount them to the back of the TV rather than the wall I guess you'd need to make (3d print) or find something to do that.

There are plenty of camera mounts that fit the oculus sensors - it's a standard camera tripod fitting. I bought some plastic self-adhesive security camera/car camera mounts that work a treat. Very cheap too.

Yes I know they unscrew (exclamation not required) I was interested to hear what people are using to mount the sensors to the backs of tv's.
I don't have the time to research 3D printing something

You'll probably find that most people don't mount them on their TVs (I've never heard of anyone doing that tbh). Preferably you want them a decent distance apart and mounted at head height pointing towards the middle of your play area. You'll get much better occlusion resistance compared to mounting them on top of your TV. If putting them on your TV is a must, you might have to rig/bodge together a custom solution or adapt an existing camera mount somehow.
