Advice on setting up Router & ADSL Modem

Guys,
I am looking to replace my Netgear DG834N as I am sick to death of the thing freezing.

The task I thought would be easy, i.e get on t'internet and buy. Little did I know that it wouldn't be.

How difficult is it to buy a Wireless N draft, with gigabit LAN and ADSL2 built in. Very.

I read a few posts where people have separate routers and DSL modems.

Anyone got any suggestions please.

If you are going to shell out for a new router, why not try flashing it? If it works afterwards you're quids in

Yep

It looks like DGTeam firmware for my router was last updated in Dec 2008 which tbh is quite a while as new Netgear firmware is a lot newer.

It would appear the 0850 firmware has some wireless issues too.
