Hi
About to upgrade to Windows 10, buy an SSD and then reinstall Windows 10 onto the SSD. Been out of the hardware loop for a while so would just like some reassurance before I click through in this one.
My mobo is a Gigabyte H61MA-D2V in an OCUK prebuilt system. Its a couple of years old now and I just want to check that it will be ok with this
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cruc...lid-state-drive-ct240bx200ssd1-hd-060-cr.html
The Gigabyte website says:
'4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors supporting up to 4 SATA 3Gb/s devices'
Does that put a limit on the type of SSD I can buy? Will the Crucial one above do the job?
Using Speccy, my current HDD has these details
ST500DM002-1BD142 ATA Device
Manufacturer Seagate
Heads 16
Cylinders 60,801
Tracks 15,504,255
Sectors 976,768,065
SATA type SATA-III 6.0Gb/s
I can't afford to upgrade the mobo
Cheers
