Advice on the correct build for someone new

Completely new to pc building/gaming. Now I've been looking on overclockers for months, youtube, reviews and I'd be lying if I told anyone what I was really looking for or looking at. I feel like when configuring a build on the site I'm probably spending more on parts that maybe aren't as important as others?

To make it easier for anyone reading this I simply just want a PC that can run current gen games and will be able to run games such as RDR2 that's coming out soon on PC and perhaps Cyberpunk on its release too at High settings. I am someone that plays games anywhere as simple as Football Manager to these FPS shooters and RPG games such as The Witcher and Outer Worlds.

My budget is around £1200-1500.

If anyone could give me some advice on what I should do that would be great.

Thanks :)

Hi and Welcome to the Forum

Building a PC is like lego. Just take it slow and ask if you get stuck. You'll be fine.

Do you need monitor/mouse and KB as well?

Thanks for the swift reply and feedback! I have seen a lot of videos talk about the differences between 1080p and 1440p, would you say theres a major difference between the two and if so would this build you've posted support 1440p?

Yes the build above would easily do 1440p the difference is definitely noticeable from 1080p. Aslong as you have a good enough monitor and GPU to power it which the above has.

I've pretty much spec'd the above for myself bar a 2070s (same one that @snips86x has) :D

1440p is where you want to be for that budget. It's a massive difference over 1080p

Haha :D It's a great little unit and I'm sure it could be thrown in if I had time to readjust the build. The only downside is gsync monitors are more expensive, but the compatible ones will suffice for sure.

Yeah I've gone air cooler so maybe that's where the extra £ came from for mine :)

In the £30 - £40 price bracket.
