Advice on this system

What connections are you looking for it to have bud? The GPU has HDMI output and the Motherboard has HDMI and Ethernet outputs

Hi all im looking at https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...th-generation-3.6ghz-quad-core-fs-1c5-og.html

I cant see what connections are on this system such as HDMI ethernet etc. Can someone please point out what connections there are please? I know im being stupid but i cant seem to see this information. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Ask them to assemble this instead, and pay the same price ;)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £880.10 (includes shipping: £13.20)

This is why I asked for a discount on the assembled system.
But even if there is no discount, for £135, the OP will get a tremendously better overall system, in all parameters - better processor, better graphics card, better SSD+HDD combo, better possible further upgrade support, and so on and so forth.

You are not going to get a £135 discount on a £880 build if that is what you are saying ? There is also a build fee to add on top if he wanted ocuk to assemble it. That would add extra costs.

Also as for the parts being better then only the cpu is superior. The GTX 1060 and RX 580 are pretty much on par with each other depending on the game in question. The Toshiba HDD in your spec isn't really any better than the Seagate one in the pre-build. Can't say about the SSD as it doesn't look like he selected one.

"Pretty much on par" would work only if you are an nVidia salesman and desperately want to sell that GTX 1060 turd.
The truth says otherwise. 8GB physically is more and better than 6GB..

Batman Arkham Knight HQ 2160p
RX 580 8GB 42 fps
GTX 1060 6GB 33 fps

Battlefield 1 HQ 2160p
RX 580 37 fps
GTX 1060 29 fps

The Witcher 3 HQ 2160p
RX 580 26 fps
GTX 1060 24 fps

Total War: Warhammer HQ 2160p
RX 580 18 fps
GTX 1060 16 fps

Rise of the Tomb Raider HQ 2160p
RX 580 24 fps
GTX 1060 23 fps

Rainbow Six: Siege HQ 2160p
RX 580 43 fps
GTX 1060 34 fps

Far Cry Primal HQ 2160p
RX 580 26 fps
GTX 1060 23 fps

LOL Why are you showing 4K benchmarks ? The RX 580 and GTX 1060 are nowhere near good enough for that resolution.

1080P:

Lol Uber amd fanboi troll at it again. And one wonders why amd can't gain as much traction as one would expect in the market. And it ain't because of intel fanbois...

:o

On any screen larger than 6 inches, the normal human eye sees the large pixels on this ancient resolution, as this, and the bigger the screen, the worse the mesh:

Why do you always post things that are totally irrelevant to the thread ? The simple fact is that an RX 580 (Or GTX 1060) are nowhere near good enough for 4K gaming at high/ultra settings.

The only way to get a playable framerate with most games would be to drop down to med/low settings and that defeats the purpose of having a 4K screen in the first place.

Also you will find that the 'ancient resolution' of 1080p is still one of the most common ones that people game at.

Back on topic in the most standard config of this pc what games could i run at 1080p with good fps

The GTX 1060 will do just fine at 1080p. Obviously the frame rates will depend on the game in question (And quality settings) but you should easily be getting at least 60fps on most things at v.high or ultra. I would try and push for the i5 8400 though (For an extra £88) as it will last that bit longer due to it being 6 cores instead of 4 that you get with the i3.

Also here is a review of a GTX 1060 to give you some idea of frame rates. There are a few different games listed which show 1920 x 1080 resolution.
