Advice on upgrading from my X800GTO card?

I running quite an old system. I was wondering is it worth or even possible getting a new graphics card for my system?
Should I also be running the latest ATI drivers with such an old card like mine
or just stick with 6.11 drivers...

2GB RAM DDR1
K8n Platinum
ATI Radeon X800gto (R340)

what games you play?

Based on the rest of your spec I think the best choice would be a 4670

google says agp board so new budget build tbh

The card above shows support for PCI Express 2.0.

Would it also work with PCI Express1 on K8N Neo4 ?

[Edit] PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatable
