So I built my PC about 6 years ago, I went for a fairly decent build back then as I wanted to use VR and had the Rift with it.
These are some of the components currently in my PC
Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 3 Intel Z370 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz (Coffee Lake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - OEM
Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080TI 11264MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card
750W PSU
32gb ram
So now I have an Occulus Quest 3 and play mainly sim racing games in VR. I think it may be time I considered getting a more up-to-date graphics card if nothing else.
Can my motherboard and CPU work with a more up-to-date GPU and if so which would be the best choice, I don't want the latest and greatest but something that will work well for a couple of years, that is a reasonably good upgrade.
Is my CPU getting old and needing replacing?
Anything else I should consider, I am trying to keep cost as low as I can.
Appreciate any advice, I have not kept up with stuff the last 5 years so any help would be great.
