Hi wonder if someone out there can perhaps help me.

This is on behalf of my partner though who purchased on the 19-02 a 4GB Apple Ipod Nano.

She paid with C/Card through her Paypal account via Ebay.
She is new to Ebay and the seller joined Ebay in Dec 06 and at the time she bought the Ipod the seller had no feedback.

She paid on the same day as the purchase. The seller responded on the 21st through Paypal with a postal tracking number. Which just produces a error on the Royal Mails web site as though that number is incorrect.

We have 3 email addresses. A web site and 2 phone numbers for this seller & have found they own/operate a web site which deals with the selling of luxury phones ie: Folseg / Vertu.

Anyhow, over the last 2 days, no answer from the phone numbes nor from the emails we have sent.

Just wondered as it has not been 10 days yet to be able to file a "not received item" on Ebay. How do we stand.

Will she get her money back as she paid through paypal with her credit card and what would be the best procedure to go from here.

Thank you very much indeed guys and girls.

If you have the domain name; you could do a whois search and possibly find out the full address, name and contact numbers for said seller.

I do, and just looking now on google with the name I know. produces the exact same web site but with 2 different domain names. ie: 2 www but show the same web site.

Dont know how to do a "Whois" though ?

Okay done that, only bringing up the same details I already had off of there website under contact details. Just had a look on Microsoft Maps and it appears it is a normal house as the address for the company/business

eBay should completely ban zero feedback users from selling goods altogether. Or at least put a limit on the value. You should have at least 10 positives from buying stuff before having the privilege to sell.

Paypal can be a nightmare in these situations, but persevere and you should get the money back should the seller turn out to be fraudulent.

If she paid by CC could she not contact the CC companys fraud department?

possibly, don't know how it would work with a debit card though? Presumably you would have to open a dispute with the seller on ebay through paypal, as an item not received, and hope the item was of relatively little value (less than £110.00) or that it was paypal protected. I have had a similar problem and so on opening a dispute with a seller I have now received an email from them informing me the item has now been dispatched: Two days after informing them I no longer needed it and wanted my money back. :(

been shafted we/she thinks. 11 negative feedbacks now on ebay for that guy. cant raise a claim yet on ebay but will soon when time limit allows.

he has vanished, has 3 other web sites selling luxury phones / folseg leave plenty of details on those web sites under the contact section and still nothing.

Although on his website his address has in the last 6 days changed from Milton Keynes to Nottingham which is only 23 miles away and I did mention in one of my emails to him Id love to pop over and have a chat with him! ;)

I have even done a WHOIS search and tried his contact details but nothing, no answer and THEN his numbers in the last 5 days have also been changed!

Spoke to the company that supplis his domains and they cant help me any further. They have his phone number and contact details but due to the data protection act they cannot help any further.

THAT ACT is stupid, 11 of us trying to get out money back of the thieveing scum and they cant give you a phone number for him. I disagree with that and believe under the circumstances they should. With this act you are to a certain level hidden from people.

I will get the police involved and i will do my best to get my friends money back for her as this kind of "scam" boils my blood.

Perhaps paypal will come good, who knows..

All I want is his real name/phone number....

damn luxury phones folseg net

Violence is not the answer :p

Wait for the time to report via eBay and follow the proper channels. She will get her money back if she goes through eBay for it all, especially due to the other people having the same problem.

I'd say wait for the ebay dispute policy and give that a go, if you paid via paypal on the credit card (with login) try launching a dispute there too. If all else fails claim th money back through your credit card company.

I had some bad experience with ebay lately, the "will you send to nigeria" after winning the auction.
