ok - partial vertical batton on left wall of opening ... if the slide stopped an inch short would it matterThe door is a mirror, so no notch is possible.

I would have driled a circle hole and both cables would have fit through.
I tried; they didn't.
There are three 13A power cables, three fibre video cables, one Cat6 ethernet cable, one USB 2 cable, one USB 3 cable, and one TOSLink cable. The first 6 are in the black trunking and the last four are in the white.
.. not a single mains cable with a multi-adapter in the wardrobe, or do they need 13A each ? ups ?

I thought about the fixings last night just before I went to sleep but forgot about it this morning.Time for plan B: it's solid wood all the way through and after I drilled the starter hole I found out that there's a nail in the way.
Good job. Id probably put the one with the most cables (black?) at the bottom as it doesnt seem to bend as much as the white one or/and maybe get some trunking if you want it a bit tidier.Success!
I gave up on cutting a slot and amalgamated two of the separated cable protectors and just drilled two big holes.
There's a big fat nail between the two. Thankfully I drilled from the back and that side is best left unphotographed.

Say no more.Unfortunately, behind the brushing, the bottom hole is smaller and enlargement efforts failed.
