Advice Please! - Speeding notice after 14 days

Hi folks,

So I got caught by a scamera van doing 37 in a 30 on the 7th December.

I didn't receive my NIP until the 17th January, obviously well out of the 14 day period.

Having never had points on my licence I thought nothing of it and signed up for the Speed Awareness course and paid my £80. It now turns out that they were far too late sending the NIP so I didn't in fact have to do anything.

What would you advise? Try for a refund on the course and tell them they missed the boat?

Date posted is the relevant date, not the date you receive it.

Whats the issue date on the NIP?
I had a similar thing with one of my guys, if the issue date is within 14 days it doesn't matter when you receive it.

Are you the registered keeper?

The 17th is the date on the letter... 40+ days after the event, all clear in black and white (I received it on the 19th I think).

Yeah it's my car, and I was driving.

As long as your address is the same as the registered keeper on the V5, get a refund and reject it.
