advice please. uk version question

bought the Remastered Beatles 13 cd+dvd Boxset recently, it had a dvd doc disk that does not play in my dvd player, this plays abs every type of dvd,.

i put it into my pc and it plays, but at the start it comes up with Japanese or Chinese text which i found odd.
i then double checked outer sleeve and noticed it had Nstc region 0.

everything is printed in english

was i sold an Amercan Import version ?

sorry , i meant the Documentary Dvd disc.

region 0 i believe should play in any dvd player.

Region 0 means region free. NTSC is simply the video format/resolution at which it plays. Pretty much all UK DVD players, unless they're absolute tosh (or a PS3, might I add - not sure about UK ones, but US ones will only play NTSC coded discs, even if they're region free!) should play them without a niggle.

Overall, though, yes it is an import version. Where from, it would be hard to say as many regions of the world use NTSC playback for video.

i got it from an auction site.

if possible, if anyone has a Uk version, can anyone tell me if my box set should say Pal on the back ?
