I'm currently speccing a new system up and would like some advice. I can't decide on either the 965 or 975 chipset. I understand the 965 is newer but is also cut down with Xfire support. I am planning to spec the new system based on the below:
HIS ATI Radeon X1900 ICEQ3 SILENT Heatpipe ***Crossfire Edition*** 512MB GDDR3 (PCI-Express).
Conroe E6600 cpu, seasonic M12 600w psu, either the Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS or the Antec Solo case. 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320gig drives. I was thinking of GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit 4-4-4-12 memory.
With this in mind, would it be going for a board with the 965 chipset or the older 975. I was primarily thinking about the Abit AW9-D, however I'm not so sure now. I am not too worried about the cost of the board.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
