I'm considering setting up my first RAID0 array, I've never bothered before but I would like Vista to boot quicker to be honest (And I've played with the startup settings for awhile now!)

I was wondering what I should go for, I've read that either the Samsung F1 or WD RE3's are a good choice, at 320gb for the single platter?

Would I notice a difference with 3 compared to 2?

Is there a performance difference between the 250 RE3 drives and the 320 ones?

2 x 320GB drives? You know that would leave you with a 640GB array?

What are you putting on the array? Just Windows, or your documents as well? I would have a small RAID0 for the OS (say 2 x 160GB) and then have a separate drive for documents and backup.

Windows on its own partition then games / music / video on their own partition. My current hard drive will do for the documents and any backups I need.

I do know it is quite a lot of space but I don't really uninstall games once they are on (I play things randomly) so the space is good to have :).
