Hi guys

Just had an email back telling me my IChill Inno3D GTX780ti is kaput...being refunded, so looking for a new replacement card.

Thing is, should I stick with NVidia and go for the GTX980 or try something different.

Currently I run a i7 4770k @4.4Ghz and 850W PSU...system is pretty pokey (Only about 1 1/2yrs old but spent a bit back then)

My screen is a LG 34" Widescreen 3440x1440p and the 780ti ran very well on this..so need something with some grunt to power it and keep my games running smoothly. (Arma3/BF4/WarThunder/Elite/DCS etc....)

Should I just buy a GTX980 (is it better than the 780ti) or should I try for a SLI setup with lesser cards?

Any advice will be most welcome... :)

The 980 is quicker than the 780ti in games but you're unlikely to notice the extra 10% fps. The extra 1gb of RAM will likely serve you well for the nearish future, but you should seriously consider an 8gb 290x as well. If you upgrade regularly a 980 will do you for the next 12-18 months when its lack of VRAM might start to hold you back.
