Hi,

I'd like a new phone which I can use to connect to the Internet with on my laptop. Would also like SatNav and it needs to be good / simple for texting and calling.

Can anyone advice? Thanks.

I'm going to be controversial here and recommend a Nokia N82/N95.

Nokia's PC Suite software makes it easy to use either phone as a modem for your laptop and they both have GPS built in.

The original N95 is now free on several £20pm contracts. The N82 and N95 8GB might cost you a bit more.

I would advise against the original N95 as many bugs are still with this phone. Although the N958G and then N82 are both good suggestions in my opinion.

Any smartphone, you don't need the nokia software to do this either, just add it as a bluetooth modem link. I've got a nokia E51 i use it regulary for tomtoming my way around the country, well mainly for the speed camera database asi know where i'm going i just don't memorise speed camera locations. It works flawlessly. I also use it as a 3g bluetooth modem from time to time. I've got a usb to nokia charger too, so my laptop battery/AC power keeps it charged at well
