Hi guys,

I'm at uni and a girl (spoilt brat) down the street drives a VW Beetle convertible. We were standing outside the smoking area of a bar tonight and she drove past, music full blast, and her passengers threw glass bottles at the bar. They smashed about a metre away from us and could have caused serious damage.

Just wondering what you lot would do in my situation? Would you leave it or follow it up? May I remind you that glass shattered against our jeans and it could have been a lot worse.

Cheers,

I'm not sure mate. I'm a bit jealous, but if that sort of behaviour continues someone could be hurt. Also you have no idea what a cow this girl is. She went to my girlfriend's school. She was bought a Fiesta ST on her 17th and the Beetle convertible on her 18th because the ST was too "boy." Anyway I might go and knock on her door and talk to her. Seems more mature than phoning the police/university. What you reckon?

Some of the replies here amused me but lets be honest, I'm not going to key or damage her car. I'm better than that, I just want her to realise that what happened is completely out of order. So should I speak to her or just phone the university and file a complaint, which would be easy given she has her window open 24/7 with a bunch of knob ends smoking and playing loud music out the window at 3am. Funny given I was fined for loud music but then again a 200W RMS subwoofer and a 80W RMS/channel (X4 Speakers) speaker system is probably enough to cause disturbance :D

letting tyres down is no damage.

although to be fair i would report it to the police, but then they wont do anything about it these days.

I posted a thread about this recently because some residents complaint to my university about me.

I have realised... You're right. The police are useless, you are far better off going through the university! I may do that, but I will talk to her first.

Some news which should bring a smile.

We all left the bar slightly after this happened as it was getting late. Apparently someone took matters into their own hands and smashed her windscreen. She was crying in tears, deserved to be honest. She'd been drink driving and her passengers were wasted.

Looks like I won't key the car after all. However I wonder if I could teach this brat a lesson, make things worse, and let the university know about this entire incident.

The police are probably involved because the bints put a complaint in about whoever smashed her windowscreen.

I think its your duty to go over there and inform them of how wasted she was whilst actually using her car that evening ;)

Do I need to?

Anyone who lets their passengers throw glass windows out of an open top car with their music on full volume is going to be drink driving.
