Hi, First time post.

With FF14 coming out and a few games such as Blur not running so well on my PC, i was looking to upgrade my system.

Currently the specs of my PC are :

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz
ASUS M4A78 770 Socket AM2+
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 Dominator
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express

I was looking to buy the Krypton Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle and a MSI GTX480 in hopes it would last me til Diablo 3 and The Witcher when they finally come out.

Any advice on whether i should buy this combination or whether i should just buy the GTX480 and stick with my current CPU and mobo would be great.

go with the 480, get a new cooler for the 955 and overclock it.

Thanks for all the feedback. Ordered the GPU and a Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler. Just need to read up on how to overclock it now.

You can up the multiplier by 1 as its a black edition cpu. This in effect makes the 955 a 965 at 3.4Ghz.
