I'm thinking of the following Spec below; as I need a new rig (to replace a Q6600) for Virtual Machines (work), and Games (Play).

I know there is no GFX yet - as I can survive for now with the onboard - and then buy GFX card next Month.

Any thoughts? anything overkill?
btw, the Vengeance Pro I want in Orange to match the Motherboard ;-)

CPU should really be retail not OEM. OEM only gives you 1 year warranty where you get 3 with the retail.

Antec 850 is made by Seasonic, as is the 760i you listed, but it's cheaper and you don't need a platinum, the differences are minimal. You can save £50 right there :)

SSD is quicker & newer than the 840 PRO and when running in rapid mode, you can double your read/write speeds.

Corsair RAM is over priced for 16gb @ 1600, you'd be better getting a nice fast RAM kit as you'll get a more efficient and responsive system. The faster RAM also gives you faster read/write speeds on the EVO when using rapid mode.

H100's can be noisy & problematic, but if that's what you want for a clean and possibly quiet build, it's a good choice.

I'd also recommend getting a fan controller (Bitfenix Recon) to control the case fans.

Hows that?

Isn't the 760I only £18 more? where's the £50 or am I missing something?

Well, due to the change to the retail CPU & faster RAM, the saving has been re-invested. The 760i may be more, but you'll get no benefit between the 2. Antec all the

Not sure where I got £50 from, it's been a long day :D

Any reason why the iSeries doesn't work with that board?

Signalling error between them and the OC ignition on the board.

It's only these two PSU's that suffer, all others are fine including the AX760, AX860 non "i"

Any reason why you want the i series? The AX760 has zero RPM fan noise up to 70% load versus the AX760 which ramps up at 20%. The Antec High Current Pro 850W has:

135 mm double ball bearing PWM fan for optimal and quiet cooling
I think I'd prefer the quieter of the two...

The Antec HCP 850W is silent, I use one in an open test bench and cant hear it, the HDD makes more noise and thats not even faulty:p
