I've recently (delivered Tuesday) bought a AEG lfx50842b washing machine. So bottom of the line. I was just wondering if they operate in a similar way to Bosch where they make the higher end machines in different locations to the bottom end stuff. For example Bosch series 8 is all made in Germany. The other series appears to be made elsewhere.
I'm also aware AEG is part of Electrolux who also own Zanussi. I was really surprised when looking around that I couldn't find any freestanding Zanussi washing machines. They are supposed to be marketed as Electrolux budget brand so I was hoping I'd find virtually the same washing machine that I bought but cheaper. Saying that I got my machine for just under £350 for an 8kg machine and even the so called budget brands were up at £270-300 so not a massive difference. The only real extra feature they'd give me might have been some sort of WiFi connection which I'm not fussed about.
