I've actually driven w/o a front plate for the last 10 days, countless police cars have driven past with the opportunity to pull me over but haven't. They're either completely oblivious to its non existence or simply aren't bothered.

I'll have the plate back on by the weekend though as the car goes into the bodyshop tomorrow to spray the front bumper and wing. Sodding lecturer of all people reversed into me on the last day of term!

Iirc doesn't running no plate have a lesser penalty than having the wrong type of plate?
