Good day

I was wondering if you could assist, I am looking for a Tablet for Mother dearest. She asked for a affordable device and has no preference on OS or make.

Not too sure what her use will be but USB would be helpful.

Apologies for the vagueness but I'm going in here blind, any advice will be appreciated.

I hear the Hudl tablets are quite good for the price, albeit if you're okay with Tesco adverts in your face all the time. Same thing with the Kindle tablets.

I saw Waitrose advertising £99 Nexus 7 2013 tablets about a week ago. No idea if they're still around, but it could be a decent option and also has the bonus of giving a vanilla Android experience.

I don't think there's much else in the cheaper end of the market. My Mum has an iPad Mini and she loves it; I think she got some deal on it through Tesco Clubcard vouchers so that could be an option too.

Hudl2 is meant to be good at the budget end, definitely within your price range.

I recently picked up a Yoga2 10" with £50 cashback from Lenovo and definitely been very happy with it. Not sure if the cashback offer is still on, but even if it's not you should still be able to pick one up for £200 if you shop around.

Yep Hudl is a great shout, got one for the MIL and she is very happy with it, only negative is the weight compared to the iPad, I've no experience with other android tablets so that might be fairly normal.

Left field choice is HP stream 7, I picked mine up for £75 and its a kick ass little machine, but not the most user friendly
