African nations cup

Looking forward to the Semi finals, shame the Nigeria-Ivory Coast game is a bit early, should catch the Egypt-Senegal though. Home early to catch the Final on Friday though ;)

Would like a Senegal-Ivory Coast Final :cool:
 
The best part is the commentators trying to paint the whole farce as anything other than pub league quality. The summariser (can't remember his name) has barely been able to contain his incredulity at some of their antics.

I know what you mean. We have to put up with that every time a Scots side is playing a live European game as well.;)

I think some of the football has been ok quality :p but yeah i know what you mean, i watched Guinea vs South Africa in the qualifying groupd and SA were attrocious, i remember the commentator saying most of them played SA League...it really showed :D

Have been quite impressed by certain players though, i thought Diomansi Camara from Senegal looks good, although i seem to remember he didn't do so well in the prem. Couple of the keepers have looked sharp, but you can see certain players are head and shoulders above the rest.

Yep, I realised that after I posted it, although I suppose there could have been a chance they may have made it for the Bolton game on Saturday.

Yeah he wasn't happy was he? I think he owes the coach an apology. It'll be funny if he's left out of the final now. :)

How did the ref not give Senegal a penalty in the last few minutes? It was as blatant a foul as you're ever likely to see.

Ok, you win....say what you want at me. i made the bet abd i lost but no problemo though we will meet again. They wont the battle but the war is just starting. :o
 
Mido has been thrown out of the squad so misses final,and has also picked up a six month ban.
