This is just a random thread i know but...

On the first night out in cardiff when i was a wee fresher i went to the night club liquid and was dancing around and only one person (from what i can remember was muslim (and when i say muslim, i mean muslim looking)).

Tonight i went out, to the same night club and it is now the end of year two and i would say around 75% of the people there were muslims.

Now dont get me wrong, i had a good night and it was a nice change etc etc and i had a great time, but is any one else finding that there is an increasing amount of muslims in night clubs.

I thought (not that i know 100%) that they couldnt drink etc, but i saw two of them (females) downing a bottle of cheap champagne each!?!?!?!? and all of them were trollied.

I am off to bed now, but will read response in the moring if there is any. :D

So the question, id any one else finding this in night clubs around them ?

And this is not a go at muslims thread etc i just want to know if people are finding that clubs are becomign more multi-cultural etc and if it is acceptable (by their standards) to drink???

Nope, Can't say I notice any Muslims out in nightclubs, seeing as Muslims don't drink alcohol. I swear they all go and hide after sunset.

How do you know they were Muslim? Did you go up and ask them?

most of them were wearing their "head gear", now i dont like calling it that cos it seems very condescending but they were, so it was an assumption that they were based on this fact, and the women were wearing their dress thigns (again i dont know the exact name)

not just that, but men aswell drinking lots, now i dont know a lot about their religion and maybe i should educate myself more, but from what i know i thought they were not ment to drink alcohol, and here they are doing it. Maybe it is because they are in uni, i dont know, but i was just wondering if this was occuring anywhere else

In all fairness they seemed like they were having a great time lol, :D which is always good

If there truly Muslims, they shouldn't be drinking and shouldn't be out after sunset on a Friday night? isn't there religious day sunset till sun sunset Friday/Saturday?

were the mean wearing turbans? (sikhs) and women in colourful indian dress or literally those full dress wear they sometimes cover thier face? you MAY be getting confused between sikhs and muslims (did the guys wear a steel bangel on thier wrist if so they are sikhs and they drink :P

And thus starts the thread on what makes a Muslim. I personally think the view on this forum that Muslims that enjoy the odd alchoholic beverage are in fact not Muslims.... is ridiculous.

Any religion is open to interpretation, much as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The claim that Muslims must strictly follow this rule (for it is the words of Allah), yet Christians must not lie, it being one of God's TEN COMMANDMENTS (Anyone care to offer any alternative interpretations on that one?) is a complete joke, sorry.
